• Basic understanding of the OOPS concepts and J2EE design patters
• Good knowledge about core Java, Hibernate, JSF, hands on at least one database and application server.
• Understanding J2EE framework and good grasp on the Web Tier technologies (Servlets, JSPs, JSF, Hibernate)
• Demonstrates basic troubleshooting skills in their technical area of expertise in the previous work.
• Demonstrate customer focus and have high level of commitment for the individual deliverables.
• Expected to learn on the job towards developing domain knowledge along with technical/ proprietary skills.
• Should demonstrate clear verbal and written skills to document any bugs, enhancements and features for further steps.
• Learns to use professional concepts. Applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues.
• Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing and data from which answers can be readily obtained. Should be able to own deliverables in Agile development mode.
• Builds stable working relationships internally and have positive attitude towards work.
Primary Skills:
1) Core Java, Basic understanding of J2EE framework,
2) JSF, hibernate, hands on Database, familiar with SQL queries, aware of troubleshooting techniques, familiarity with IBM / BEA app server, Knowledge of PDLC/ SDLC
3) Open source technologies like ANT, Maven
4) XML / XSL Parsing technologies etc.
5) Understand performance implications, memory management, and threading issues with Core Java and aware of analysis methodologies.
6) Exposure to Agile and scrum methodology
Secondary skills:
1) Knowledge or experience on Unix based environment and familiar with Unix commands.
2) Knowledge of UML modeling tools
3) Profiling knowledge using various tools
4) Ajax knowledge
6) Good communication skills and positive attitude towards the work
